Jan 7, 2013-The SCAG Power Equipment Midwest Truck Tour is proud to announce its schedule for the 2013 season. This year’s season adds a new track to the series, offering competitors and fans new and exciting racing experiences.

“We were able to finalize a pretty aggressive Truck schedule for this year as the series continues to grow,” commented ARCA Midwest Tour Vice President Steve Einhaus. “We have a half dozen completely new race teams expected to be with the series this season which will increase the competition level. While it’s always difficult to plan a schedule that is racer friendly, we certainly appreciate the support from the tracks and thank them for believing in this division.”

The series will launch its season at the newest track to be added to the Midwest Truck Tour Schedule. The trucks will roar into Veterans Raceway Park, a 3/8 mile oval located in the hills of Tomah, WI on Friday, May 17th. The trucks will return to tackle the track in Tomah for the second event of their season on Friday, June 21st. A special Friday night event at Madison International Speedway will be the third stop on the circuit and will include a holiday fireworks extravaganza.

Returning for the 2013 season will be the 30-lap event at The Milwaukee Mile. The second annual Howie Lettow Memorial 30 will be ran in conjunction with the ARCA Midwest Tour’s 150-lap feature event. Dan Barber was the inaugural race winner.

The SCAG Power Equipment Midwest Trucks will again meet up with the ARCA Midwest Tour drivers at Grundy County Speedway for events on Friday July 19th.

Veteran Raceway Park will be the place to be to see the best truck racing action as the trucks return to the asphalt oval for events on August 2nd and August 30th.

The competitors of the Midwest Truck Tour will make their return to Marshfield Motor Speedway on August 24th. James Swan, who went on to win the 2012 championship, won last year’s race at Marshfield.

Elko Speedway welcomes the competitors of the Midwest Truck Tour on Saturday, September 21st. Jerry Wood won this event in 2012 on his way to a 2nd place finish in the 2012 point standings. This will also be a combined event with the ARCA Midwest Tour.

The 2013 season will once again come to an end during the Oktoberfest race weekend at the LaCrosse Fairgrouds Speedway. A whole season’s worth of anticipation comes to the surface as the Midwest Truck Tour competitors battle for the championship title. James Swan was not only crowned 2012 champion at LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway, but he also won the season ending race. The 2013 Midwest Truck Tour Champion will be crowned on Friday of the historic four-day Oktoberfest weekend. The Midwest Truck Tour will be one of 19 divisions competing throughout the Oktoberfest race weekend.

Details are still being finalized for the two tentative races on the 2013 schedule. Midwest Truck Tour competitors are expected to make additional stops at Marshfield Motor Speedway on July 13th and at Madison International Speedway on August 11th. Details will be released as they become available.
